School Bags and Baby Hats
Safi School Project has a tradition of bringing school bags and baby hats when members travel to Tanzania. A group of us will be going in January 2011 so the due date to get the hats and school bags to Safi School Project is coming up soon. Please mail them to our mailing address.
We deliver the hats to hospitals, orphanages, and the community so hats that fit newborns through younger children are appropriate. Bright colors are loved the best.
School bags are to be made out of sturdy material. We often use bolt ends from upholstery. The weave needs to be tight enough so pencils don't poke out. The handles need to be 22" and sewn on well. The bags will be filled with pens, pencils, scissors, exam books, a pencil sharpener, an eraser, crayons or colored pencils, rulers, etc. If you wish to help with supplies, please email us to find out our current needs or donate money so we can buy them.
