Purposeful Travel with Safi is learning and giving, building and supporting relationships, evaluating and assessing new and ongoing projects and falling in love with Tanzania.
For more than 10 years Safi has worked to keep the cost of our trips around $5000. That continues to be our goal but we recognize rising airfares and other costs so we let you know it could be more. Airfare cost varies. We purchase group tickets to keep costs down - anticipate between $1800 and $2500. The best price is way in advance of the trip, so we ask that you budget for this at least six months prior to your travel date. Trips are usually 2 1/2 to 3 weeks and include opportunities for safaris at some of the beautiful game reserves and national parks in the country.
Total cost includes all lodging and transportation in Tanzania. Most of our meals are included except for a few lunches and snacks you may need to cover. You pay for Soda, beer, wine, and personal shopping. Bottled water is included.

The January/February Purposeful Travel trip was a great success! Seventeen intrepid travelers spent three weeks visiting many relevant organizations and cultural sites to better see and understand the current conditions and lives of the people that Safi School Project's mission serves. While there the group also went on a fantastic safari adventure to see the great migration. Due to connectivity and internet complications, blogging in real time was not possible. A synopsis of the trip will be posted soon now that all the catching up with home, family, sleep and that ever relevant 11 time zone change is wrapping up.
September 2020 Purposeful Travel trip *POSTPONED*Due to the increasing uncertainties of the Covid-19 pandemic and our concern for everyone's health and safety we are postponing our fall trip. Watch this space for rescheduling information.
