Safi/SYEW
Safi sponsored Students have wowed us with their success at school. Perhaps, even more encouraging is that some of those former Safi students and teachers have formed a board called SYEW (supporting youth empowering women) that works to do whatever it can to help our students. For example, they are the ones who visit, interview, vet and choose new students. They help with food, knowing no one can learn on an empty stomach. They develop programs like NusuNusu (see our website) for graduated students who have not yet found other work.
They are building into the SAFI/SYEW sponsorships ways of giving back so when our Safi students are able, they will help others as they have been helped by SAFI. WOW!

“Feed Our Minds” because you can not teach an empty stomach
SAFI/SYEW seeks out students, like Raziki (below), who are excellent students and desperate for support to continue their education. Their drive to develop their potential, to better their lives and the lives of their families and community is awesome. Safi's support, through your donations, can empower them.
Raziki shares this home with his mother and 5 other siblings. He is a top student in his community, but his family is unable to pay for secondary education. When he was in school, he'd go to class and then to work to support the family with money for food. The Feed Our Minds program, supported by Safi and administered by SYEW, is designed to not only feed the student but to help support the family’s food needs, so that the student can focus on their studies. With Safi/SYEW support, these students can thrive and live up to their potential. The Feed Our Minds program is vital to support many Safi School Project sponsored students.
