SAFI PROJECT March 2022 - New Video from Arusha, Tanzania
Dear all,
First, we would like to thank you all for being with us during this difficult time for everyone.
Our Safi Students count many blessing from you. The assurance of an education makes them able to see that there will be a future in their lives.
By fighting hunger with the Feed Our Mind (FOM) program, we have been able to help our students focus on their classes and not skip classes to find money for food.
Our students test scores are outstanding. Division 1 (the highest), division 2, and 2 division 3. No failures! They testify their working rate reflects that needs are paid for, classes, books, transport, meals, etc
Enice and Raziki took time today to speak about their lives. They talk with pride of what it means to be a girl who had no opportunity to education who works now to become "one of the few women doctors" in her area. A boy who had to leave school to work in town for his family so that they can get meals. With help from FOM program now he can study without worrying about his family food, being able to picture himself as an accountant in the future. Life is tough but now there is joy and hope.
We don't want to make you wait to see the video, as these students voices are strong, Thank you Safi School Project members for changing their lives...

How you can help

In poor communities, families can not afford to pay school fees so their children's education ends when they finish primary school. Safi works with students in an area where education is valued but the average annual income for a family of 6-8 is $200-$300 US. The cycle of poverty continues. Students know they must reach further to find a brighter future.
You may never have a chance to go to Tanzania and meet the students in person. But you can touch them with your heart!
