Wanted  to send you all some photos to help to share this amazing and overwhelming experience.

The closer we get to the school the more primary students dressed in blue come out to greet us.  Many with big smiles to our simple Jambo greeting and some being bold enough to say “Good morning” and “how are you” over and over giggling at our responses. . . . Please open the .pdf for pictures and stories.

Love all the pictures and reading how the greet you. The games taught to the students sounded like the students had fun learning them. It is delightful seeing Sarah right up front sitting by Marilyn as Kahli is teach Hangman or draw people game. Thanks for taking time to share your experiences. Pax, Betty R

Oops on 2 of my comments--Kahli played music an hour before dinner not during dinner AND it was Maya teaching the kids hangman, not Kahli! Sorry about that! It is always amazing to be able to get communication so quickly from a continent so far away. Thank you for taking time to write!

Beautiful pictures. Love your commentary.

I was so happy to see the almost empty bookshelves behind the students in the library. When I was there we had just finished filling the bookshelves with new textbooks that Safi had purchased. If the shelves are empty, I hope that means the textbooks are in the hands of the students! Students can now read their textbook and listen to lectures rather than spend all their class time copying into their notebooks what the teacher copied from his one textbook onto the blackboard. Lots more learning going on! - Elaine

Oh, wow! Pictures are great. River House is one of my favorite places. Are you sure Ben isn't developing the "male waiting for females shopping syndrome? His look is priceless!! Glad to see so much interaction with the students. How much of the baseball do they remember, Marilyn? Picture of Robert is great!
