Hi all,
I am now a relaxed and happy woman since i just got the Seahawks score! Now I go back to work. :-)
It is another perfect morning - wonderful temperature and still. I'm going to church with Elizabeth and then will go see Eunie Simonson, which is high on my list.
I've spent many hours with Fredy and Baraka and with Grace. Lots to report. But Grace appears to be very competent, I like her and she has done lots of homework concerning Ngateu.
We talked through all 24 things on my agenda and all - who knows how many things- on her agenda. I will talk with her again this week. And she will arrange a meeting with the staff. A new school board is to be appointed.
I'm also going to ask Fredy to talk with Form 4 grads about planning for their futures, i.e. applying for a loan for further education. He thinks that none of the Form 4 students will fail this year.
Fredy and Baraka have the list of 12 girls and 8 boys selected for Form 1. They have to see who will choose to come to Ngateu, as all of them qualified to go to government schools. I'll try to have the list before I come home on Friday.
I'm going to interview Grace one of these days this week and she is happy about that.
More soon. Love, Mary
the jump up and down kids are still there to greet me, brought flowers one day, the dogs are still loud, the circumcision parade ( boys who will be circumcised and their friends and family) nearly threw me out of bed last night, newborn calf next door, 3 new workers at Freedom, very dry here, traffic is worse than ever around Shoprite, Khan's barbecue is still excellent, internet tower at school is the pride of everyone!
